A. POSITION OVERVIEW

The MEP Engineer plays a key role in supervising, controlling, and ensuring the quality of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems within CityLand’s projects. This position is crucial in maintaining project progress, technical standards, and safety compliance, ensuring all MEP works are executed according to approved designs, technical specifications, and legal regulations.

As a bridge between the Project Management Office, contractors, and consultants, the MEP Engineer is responsible for identifying and resolving technical issues promptly while optimizing operational efficiency throughout the construction process.

B. JOB DETAILS

JOB DESCRIPTION

MEP Supervision & Technical Management

  • Supervise the MEP construction activities of contractors to ensure strict compliance with approved design documents, technical drawings, construction methods, and quality standards.
  • Review and update design modifications and shop drawings to ensure alignment with site conditions.
  • Conduct inspections and acceptance of MEP works based on approved technical standards and quality requirements.
  • Review, verify, and sign off on quality documentation and as-built drawings submitted by contractors.

Progress Management & Coordination

  • Monitor and update detailed construction schedules (daily, weekly, and monthly) and ensure contractors adhere to approved plans.
  • Report and propose corrective actions for any delays or technical discrepancies affecting project progress.
  • Coordinate with design, safety, and fire protection teams, as well as other stakeholders, to ensure safe and compliant execution of MEP works.

Technical Control & Issue Resolution

  • Immediately report any discrepancies or design/implementation errors to the Head of Project Management.
  • Work with contractors to identify root causes of technical issues and propose corrective measures.
  • Provide professional input to improve construction methods and ensure efficiency and safety during implementation.

Other Duties

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head of Project Management and the Company Director.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing, HVAC, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position within civil, infrastructure, or real estate development projects.
  • Technical Skills:
    • In-depth understanding of MEP construction supervision procedures, technical standards, and design documentation management.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Personal Attributes: Honest, responsible, logical thinker with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and coordination skills; proactive, independent, and team-oriented working style.
