[CITYLAND] MEP Engineer – Water
About the Role
The MEP Engineer – Water is responsible for managing MEP design activities, reviewing and approving design documents, coordinating with consultants during construction, monitoring design contracts, and handling administrative and reporting tasks. The role ensures design quality, accuracy, and timeliness across projects.
Key Responsibilities
MEP Design Management
- Develop and submit design requirements for specific projects.
- Conduct site surveys, consolidate data, and propose preliminary design solutions.
- Review and approve design documents (HSTK) at each stage.
- Coordinate with consultants to make adjustments required by authorities or appraisal bodies.
Design Document Acceptance
- Review design quality at various project stages and upon completion.
- Participate in technical acceptance, phased acceptance, and final handover.
- Work with specialized departments to ensure progress and accuracy.
Design Review During Construction
- Check project documents and design drawings.
- Review and update legal compliance in design documents.
- Collaborate to resolve design-related issues arising during construction.
Consultant Contract Monitoring
- Update and monitor consulting contracts and their progress.
- Identify and flag deadlines or upcoming deliverables.
Administration & Reporting
- Perform assigned tasks from management.
- Propose cost-effective and quality design solutions.
- Prepare and submit regular reports (weekly/monthly).
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Engineering or related field.
Experience
- Over 5 years of experience in MEP design or design management.
Skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in documentation, records management, and task organization.
- Logical thinking and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- English: Intermediate proficiency (Level B or equivalent).
