[CITYLAND] Procurement Specialist – Construction Materials & Equipment

A. Position Overview

The Procurement Specialist plays a key role in ensuring construction projects are supplied with high-quality materials and equipment at competitive prices and on schedule. This role is responsible for managing the entire supply chain—from sourcing suppliers, negotiating and signing contracts, to monitoring delivery, payments, and on-site inventory management.

B. Job Details

Job Responsibilities

• Receive and process requests for purchasing construction materials and equipment (both structural and finishing) from departments and project sites.
• Source, request quotations, compare, and evaluate suppliers to propose the most suitable option for each category.
• Prepare documentation for supplier selection approval and draft purchase orders/contracts once approved.
• Monitor delivery schedules and handovers at project sites.
• Prepare payment documents for suppliers and coordinate with Accounting to follow up on payment status.
• Handle urgent or small direct purchases as required (with management approval).
• Update and maintain the supplier database, including capabilities, product offerings, delivery time, after-sales service, and payment methods.
• Proactively search for and develop new potential suppliers.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Construction, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within construction materials/equipment procurement. Preference for candidates with experience in government-funded projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong skills in planning, data analysis, and practical problem-solving.
