[CITYLAND] Project Procurement Specialist
About the Role
We are looking for a Project Procurement Specialist to ensure the effective supply of finishing materials, equipment, and services for our real estate development projects. This role is critical in securing high-quality resources on time and within budget, while optimizing costs and supporting project execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Execution & Control
- Receive and analyze purchase requests from project teams and departments.
- Organize procurement activities in line with approved budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
- Monitor contract execution including delivery, inspection, and payment.
- Maintain and update supplier, product, and pricing databases.
2. Supplier Negotiation & Management
- Identify, evaluate, and build long-term partnerships with reliable local and international suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost efficiency and project progress.
- Manage supply contracts for finishing materials and services across ongoing projects.
- Track market trends in material pricing and propose procurement strategies accordingly.
3. Supply Development & Material Innovation
- Conduct market research to identify new technologies and finishing materials.
- Test and evaluate potential suppliers to expand the sourcing pool and ensure input quality.
- Develop and manage a materials library for project reference.
4. Coordination & Reporting
- Collaborate with engineering, QS, project management, legal, and other teams to meet project requirements.
- Provide regular reports on procurement progress, supplier performance, and contract status.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Economics, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, International Trade, or related fields.
Experience
- 3–5 years of procurement experience in finishing materials, interiors, or related supplies for large-scale real estate projects (high-rise, villas, resorts, etc.).
- Preferred backgrounds: real estate developers, project developers, EPC/general contractors, or multinational corporations.
- ⚠️ Not suitable for candidates from small consulting firms or those without hands-on project experience.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of procurement processes for construction finishing materials.
- In-depth knowledge of the material supply market, vendors, and pricing trends.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings, design documents, and BOQs.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel); knowledge of procurement management software is a plus.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- English: ability to read technical documents and basic communication is an advantage.
