[CITYLAND] SENIOR INTERIOR ARCHITECT / DESIGN SPECIALIST (HOTEL)
The Senior Interior Architect (Hotel) is a senior professional position under the Design Management Department, playing a key role in managing, controlling, and developing interior design works for the Group’s high-end hotel projects.
I. JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Consultancy & Evaluation of Design Consultants
- Participate in evaluating profiles, capabilities, and experience of interior design consultants suitable for each hotel project.
- Propose evaluation criteria for design consultants in accordance with the requirements of each project and design phase.
- Advise department management on interior design solutions, materials, and design orientations to ensure aesthetics, functionality, and investment efficiency.
2. Interior Design Management
- Prepare, control, and submit interior design briefs for approval in accordance with each project and design stage.
- Review and assess the quality of interior design documents to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, Owner’s requirements, and hotel operator standards.
- Coordinate with design consultants to review and adjust design solutions, materials, and details in accordance with design contracts and approved budgets.
- Monitor and control design progress and quality in line with the overall project schedule.
3. Design Review & Acceptance
- Participate in technical reviews and acceptance of design deliverables at each design stage and final design completion.
- Coordinate with related departments to ensure consistency between interior design and other design disciplines.
- Carry out acceptance procedures for design deliverables with consulting firms in accordance with regulations.
4. Author Supervision
- Participate in author supervision during construction to ensure works are executed in compliance with approved interior designs.
- Coordinate in resolving design-related issues arising during construction.
- Review and update legal and regulatory bases related to design documentation as required by the project.
5. Design Consultancy Contract Management
- Monitor and evaluate the quality, schedule, and effectiveness of interior design consultancy contracts.
- Review payment and settlement documents, acceptance of quantities, and quality of works performed by design consultants.
6. Budget & Investment Control
- Control interior design solutions in accordance with the approved total investment budget.
- Propose cost-optimized design solutions while ensuring quality, aesthetics, and hotel standards.
7. Reporting & Proposals
- Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports as required by management.
- Propose design solutions and process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of design management.
8. Other Assigned Duties
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head of Department / Deputy General Director in charge of Design Management.
II. JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Education & Major
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Interior Design, or related fields.
- Preference given to candidates graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture.
2. Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in interior design and design management.
- Proven experience in high-end hotel projects, preferably with international hotel operators.
- Strong knowledge of project legal frameworks, local and international design codes and standards.
3. Skills
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Good presentation, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in professional design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, MS Project, Photoshop, etc.).
- Good command of English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), capable of working directly with international consultants and hotel operators.
