A. Position Overview

The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for advising and evaluating the capacity of structural design consultants, ensuring the quality and compliance of design documents with current standards. This role participates in design appraisal and acceptance at various stages, coordinating with specialized departments to secure progress, quality, and adherence to investment budgets.

Additionally, the position involves legal review of project documentation, controlling work volume and payment quality, and issuing timely alerts for critical project milestones throughout implementation.

B. Recruitment Details

I. Responsibilities

  • Advise on evaluating the capabilities of design consultants; propose evaluation criteria tailored to each project.
  • Prepare and submit specific design requirements for approval.
  • Review and assess the quality of design documents and drawings to ensure compliance with national standards and codes.
  • Evaluate consultants’ solutions, provide input on materials, and recommend structural design approaches for specific works.
  • Consolidate all documents approved/licensed by relevant authorities.
  • Participate in inspections, quality reviews, and acceptance of designs at various stages, ensuring complete and compliant handover.
  • Coordinate with other technical departments to maintain accuracy and project timelines.
  • Review project files and drawings; ensure legal compliance and update documentation accordingly.
  • Monitor project stages, provide early warnings for upcoming deadlines or tasks.
  • Review and verify consultant contractors’ payment claims (if applicable).
  • Evaluate acceptance documents related to volume and quality of assigned works.
  • Control budgets, total investment, and monitor schedule and quality against contractual obligations.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Deputy General Director of the Design Management Division.

II. Requirements

1. Education – Specialization

  • Male/Female candidates.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil & Industrial Construction or related fields.

2. Work Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in the same field or equivalent role.

3. Skills

  • Strong communication skills.
