[CITYLAND] SENIOR LEGAL EXPERT
A. Position Overview:
The SENIOR LEGAL EXPERT plays a direct advisory role to the Board of Management on legal matters related to corporate governance, investment, and real estate business operations; while also being responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, handling disputes, and anticipating legal risks. In addition, the Senior Legal Specialist is responsible for developing internal legal policies and procedures, building and mentoring the legal team, maintaining relationships with regulatory authorities and strategic partners, thereby contributing to ensuring the Company’s sustainable, transparent, and legally compliant operations.
B. Recruitment Details :
I. Responsibilities
Task 1: Participate in planning and managing the Company’s legal and compliance activities.
- Advise the Board of Directors / Board of Management on legal policy planning, ensuring the Company’s operations are compliant with applicable regulations.
- Develop plans, monitor and evaluate KPIs, and report on the performance of the assigned functions.
Task 2: Legal advisory and consultation
- Provide legal advice to Management, departments, and subsidiaries.
- Review and comment on contracts, agreements, and project documents to ensure legal compliance.
- Identify and anticipate legal risks, and propose preventive measures as well as timely solutions to address arising issues..
Task 3: Contract and dispute management
- Drafting, reviewing, and standardization of the company’s contracts, templates, and legal documents.
- Negotiate and finalize agreements and strategic partnerships with external stakeholders.
- Handle disputes and participate in litigation/arbitration when assigned to protect the company’s rights and interests.
Task 4: Policy development and compliance improvement
- Build, review, and recommend updates to internal regulations, policies, and procedures in line with legal requirements and business practices.
- Establish and maintain relationships with government authorities, industry associations, and external partners.
II. Job Requirements
a. Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
- Lawyer practicing certificate is required and lawyer card
b. Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of civil, labor, commercial, corporate, and investment laws.
- In-depth understanding of corporate and real estate legal practices.
c. Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the legal field, with at least 7 years of experience in corporate legal affairs at real estate or commercial corporations.
d. Skills:
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to anticipate legal risks, analyze and resolve legal issues effectively.
- Good command of English communication and legal terminology.
